Women in the UK Are Investing in Digital Assets at a Greater Rate Than Men

The financial industry is historically dominated by men, however, with the mainstream adoption of digital assets increasing, it could reconfigure the financial industry as we know it. We, at BanklessTimes.com, decided to take a more in-depth look at the digital asset investment data, in order to understand the direction the industry is headed.

Key Findings from our Research:

• Women are investing at a rate greater than men at 53%.

• Women make up more than half of investors in the £1,000-£5,000 range.

• Men still make up the majority of holders in the £10,000+ category.

Whilst men still seem to account for the larger portion of investment in digital assets, the advancements in women’s investments and involvement in cryptocurrency is promising for the future. As the metaverse and digital assets become an integral part of the financial system, we can expect that the upward trend of women’s investment in digital assets will translate into their increased involvement in the financial industry as a whole. Ultimately, the demographic of the financial industry could be reshaped and potentially result in gender parity, which is pivotal within such a large industry.

Jonathan Merry, CEO of BanklessTimes.com commented:
To achieve true gender parity in crypto, it is important for the industry to continue educating women about digital assets and their potential. We are encouraged by the data from the UK, and we hope it will inspire more women to get involved in this space.
