Annalisa Sarasini joins smartTrade Technologies as Global Head of Sales.

smartTrade provides sophisticated liquidity management systems, enabling banks to develop multi-asset dealing platforms that aggregate liquidity from dozens of sources to create a single order book, distribute customized pricing to clients, receive and manage client order flow, internalize liquidity and/or route it to external venues, implement smart order routing using proprietary algorithms, and connect electronically to any number of venues. The system handles multiple asset classes and is in production globally supporting foreign exchange, fixed income, equities, rates, and many other instrument types.

Today the company announced that Annalisa Sarasini, has assumed the role of Global Head of Sales. Based in London, she will focus on growing global revenue. Annalisa-Sarasini-photo

Before joining smartTrade, Ms. Sarasini was VP of Global Sales for the Messaging Business Unit of Informatica Corporation. She managed a global sales team and significantly grew license revenue year over year in both direct and channel sales.

Prior to her role at Informatica, Ms. Sarasini ran Global Sales for 29West. She started by setting up and running Sales and Operations in EMEA and was soon appointed Worldwide Head of Sales. She built a global team and steadily grew the company’s revenue and average deal size, helping position 29West for acquisition by Informatica in March 2010.

With a Masters degree in computer science, Ms. Sarasini has deep technical experience, enabling her to understand and help solve clients’ pressing technology issues. She served in technical sales and business development at IONA Technologies and Sonic Software (now Progress Software), supporting clients and in the Capital Markets. She began her career as a software engineer with eXcelon/ObjectDesign.
